Picked up one of these as a lost ball one day. My home course has lots of small daisies and dandelions in the fairways for most of the year, and because of copious rain, lots of long grass rough. I played that same ball for several weeks, without losing it. The Volvik Vivid pink doesn't look like either a daisy or a dandy, and is still visible (most of the time) in deep grass. I lose FAR fewer of these on the course than I do white or yellow golf balls, and I can usually find them even in the rough. They aren't high-grade Titleists or Calloways, but to me, they still play well enough both off the tee and on approach shots. Far better, anyway, than the old beater balls I have played when the course is not at its best. If you're a scratch golfer, you might rather play (and lose) $4.00 balls, but if you're a more average golfer, I think you'll save a lot of money on these and still enjoy your shot making. My only complaint is that these pink Vivids seem to be somewhat hard to come by. If you are male and have qualms about playing "lady" pink golf balls, maybe you should talk to Bubba Watson.

Very hard feel off the driver and low spin around the greens.On the plus side very easy to see and find because of the color. Do yourself a favor and buy a dozen pro v1 practice balls at the same price of 29.99. Amazing distance off the tee and great control around the greens. Exactly same as a regular pro v 1 for $20 cheaper. 100 times better ball than the low end volvik ball.

My2 sons and I played last week with the Volvik matte pinkies and were very pleased with their performance: no apparent nor noticeable loss of distance, great visibility both in air and on leaf-covered ground , and good greenside control. Very satisfied.
