Easier to find

I initially bought the Callaway Super Soft golf balls based on a review I read for recommended golf balls for players with slower swing speeds. I also played with some golfers using both the orange and red Callaway balls. It seemed that the balls were easier to find on the fairway. Based on numbers from my SkyTrak, I find I get slightly more distance with my driver compared to a number of other golf balls. It is also easier for me to see the orange and to a slightly lesser extent, the red balls on the ground. I can still track them OK in the air but my color vision is OK. Some men I play with say they cannot see these balls in the air. I wear Oakley golfer sunglasses when playing and they have a slightly orange/pink tint to the lenses for easier green reading. They really make the orange golf balls stand out on the ground (easier to find). One negative thing I notice is that the Super Soft ball covers are slightly sticky to begin with and they get more abraded with a round or two of play and that makes them putt more slowly particularly on a wet green. I have recently started switching my ball to a harder cover once I am on the green. Based on discovering that the orange balls were slightly easier to see I did an exchange of 4 dozen of the red I purchased through golfballs.com for the orange balls and that process was ridiculously complicated. So know exactly what you want before ordering with this company. Return postage will be on you and you may need to contact customer service a few times to get the exchange done.

Good ball for my swing

I have been happy with the Callaway Super Soft golf balls. In my simulator they provide a distance and accuracy comparable to other more expensive balls. One thing I miss with this ball is the auditory and tactile feel of the ball first strike typical of higher compression balls. I determined that the matt orange are the easiest for my aging eyes to track in flight and find on the ground in light rough among leaves etc... Interestingly, the matt red is not as easy to track and find.
