Callaway Golf HX Red - Golf Balls

Recently bought a Taylormade R580XD and was hitting a ball with too much spin, (ball would go out high trajectory stop dead at the apex and drop) so I tried some other balls HX Red being the best..I couldn't believe the difference in trajectory a ball could make, but it sure does!!! The HX Red takes off nice and arcs beautifully giving me nice roll at the end.

I was late for a tee time and had stopped to buy my HX Tours and they were out of them, I picked up the HOTS and loved the feel and distance. I colder weather a better ball to play than the Tours. Only balls I will carry in my bag.

I played this ball for the first time and I do enjoy playing it. It is long off the tee, carried it on average 280 in wet conditions. It had the perfect amount of spin off my irons, stopping or spinning back a little. It did have the problem of scuffing off my forged irons if I mis-hit it a little, but not enough to throw the ball in the lake. I played the front and the back with one ball on each side. Good ball to try if you need a little extra distance without the rock hard feel!

i found one on the course and started playing it. i got good distance with my irons, but was disappointed with feel around the greens. i'm looking forward to trying the hx blue.

I found a Callaway HX Red during a round and decided to play it. This ball penetrates the wind and carries better than any other ball I've played, including Titleist Pro-V1 and NXT/NXT Tour. I was able to carry bunkers off the tee that I had to cut around with other balls. This is the number one item on my Christmas list this year. Try it, I know you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

This ball goes and has great feel, almost sticky like. But it spins too much, which is why the HX Black is better, less spin. And typical of HX golf balls, it scuffs (scars) almost immediatly.

This ball really changed my game. I live in an area with very unpredictable greens, lightening fast one day, slow as molasses the next. This ball lets you go at the pin no matter what. Excellent distance and perfect control, tons of back spin when you need it. My only complaint is they tear very easily. But the returns in your score will make it worth it. Finally shooting in the mid 80's, next stop 79....

Just started using this ball and have hit my longest drive yet (320 yards), the only ball I use now. Great feel around the greens too!!

this ball goes long and has good action on the greens, i don't usually get back spin-I do now...love it!
