Nike Power Distance Power Lady

I hit a lady ball by accident in sarasota and it went 300yds, I could not call myself a man if I played a womens ball,BUT, why are the balls cheaper then mens balls esp if they travel farther? Sounds like the golf industry is sticken it to the men. :(
